1. How do I add an initiative?
Initiatives tab=> Add new.
2. Can I delete an initiative?
Mark the check box against the initiative you want to delete, go to ""Other Actions"" and select Delete from the drop down. You can delete multiple initiatives are a time. Alternatively, you can also use delete icon with in the grid against each workspace.
3. What happens if add an initiative whose name matches with the ones that already exist?
Initiative should not have duplicate names within the product. System restricts it.
4. What can be modified in an initiative during an update?
Display Name , Description, plans, implementers, reviewers, approvers can be modified during an update of an initiative.
5. Can I add initiative with same name under two different products?
Yes, Initiatives can be named with same name in two different product.
6. What all can I add to an initiative?
Any file can be added to an initiative for all information purposes Is it mandatory to select workspaces while creating initiative.
7. Can I create initiative without workspaces?
It is mandatory to select workspaces while creating initiatives . The approved workspaces are reviewed through initiatives before getting applied in the plan.
8. Can I unselect the workspaces that are selected while creating initiatives?
Yes, selected workspaces can be unselected during an update of initiative.
9. Can I add new workspaces once the initiative is created?
Yes, you can add new workspaces to the already existing initiative during update.
10. Can I change display name of an Initiative?
Yes, display name can be changed.
11. Can I create initiatives through excel import?
No. Initiatives can be created by accommodating all the changes from the workspace.
12. How many initiatives can I import using excel?
You can import as many as the requirement demands.
13. What happens if the excel imported has the information about existing initiatives?
System ignores any such information.
14. Can I use same work space for more than one initiative?
Yes. The same workspace can be used in any number of initiatives.
15. How do make bureau implementations through initiatives?
Initiative is not contingent about bureau content. These guidelines must be managed in the workspace.
16. What all can I update through initiative in plan design?
Everything can be updated in the plan provided definition matches.
17. How do I introduce new changes to plan design?
If the changes created though workspace are not there in the existing plan, they are inserted into plan design as new elements.
18. Can I make updates to the existing plan components?
Yes, as long as the definition of the changes created in the workspace and the one in the plan design, the system overrides the existing elements.
19. What happens if the changes selected to be applied shares the same name and different definition as the existing ones in the plan?
System restricts applying such changes on the plan.
20. Can I add changes to the approved plan versions?
Yes, element of the plan in any version can be edited or insert new elements using Initiatives.
21. Can I test changes before applying the changes?
Yes, changes can be tested using testbed.
22. Can I upload reference documents along with initiatives?
Yes, all kinds of information documents can be uploaded to initiative for implementation.
23. Where do I find the comments made by reviewer of the initiative?
Any comments made by the stakeholders can be seen in the notification.
24. Can I modify Pricer in the initiative?
No, a Pricer cannot be modified in the initiative.
25. What happens if I adopt a change from a change event that was adopted earlier from another change event through a different workspace?
Change that was adopted first will be rolled back and the second will be active on the plan.
26. How many workspaces can I select for creating a plan?
You can select as many as you can based on requirement.
27. What happens to changes that are not adopted in the initiative?
Changes that are not adopted in the initiative are remained in workspaces.
28. How do I get a plan design view in initiatives?
Select initiatives Tab => Click on the required initiative from the list of initiatives => to the top of the grid, click on plan design next to workspaces in order to get a plan design view.
29. What do I get to see if I click on plan design?
Plan design shows the list of all changes across all the components which are adopted to the initiatives.
30. What does adopt do for a change?
Adopt action overrides the existing element if data and definition matches or inserts new elements to the plan.
31. How do I know if there is a dependency between two workspaces?
When you adopt a change and there is a dependency, thesystem will inform you about the same. If you do not adopt dependent changes, the system restricts from approving the initiative.
32. What happens to initiatives when it is rejected?
When initiatives are rejected, they fall back to the implementer bucket and the whole process of workflow kicks in again.
33. What happens to the initiative that is approved?
All the changes adopted will be applied on the plan, and the plans will be become eligible to be launched.
